Therapy is focused on healing, navigating mental health related issues, and working through past traumas, pains, and wounds. In therapy, we often focus on reflection, understanding, and long-term growth. Mom coaching is action-oriented–focusing on targeting specific areas of your life and creating change.
No, coaching is not covered by insurance.
The amount of sessions you need can vary, but most moms work with me for anywhere between 1 to 3 sessions. If as we work together it becomes apparent you need more long-term support, I might suggest mom therapy instead.
Your results depend on your specific concerns, willingness to be open, and willingness to put in the work and learn. If you commit to the work, you can expect to develop new skills and create a toolbox for how you approach motherhood.
